Ireland missing potential on ERC grants, says Lambkin

Senior Irish scientists win about half the number of advanced European Research Council research awards as researchers in comparable countries such as Austria and Finland, Imelda Lambkin, director of a group set up to promote access to EU research funding, has said.

Success in winning ERC grants was important for the reputation of Irish science, Lambkin, of Enterprise Ireland, said in an interview on 15 August.
