Limerick wins support to commercialise medical device

The University of Limerick has received €300,000 to commercialise a research discovery relating to the use of catheters in medical treatments.

The support comes via Enterprise Ireland’s Commercialisation Programme and was announced on 19 December. The work in UL’s Centre for Applied Biomedical Engineering Research won a Cleveland Clinic Innovation Award in 2011.
