Replacement Irish co-chairman appointed to US research partnership

Former Enterprise Ireland head Feargal Ó Móráin has been named as the Irish co-chairman of the United States-Ireland R&D Partnership Steering Group.

The appointment of outgoing Irish co-chairman Killian Halpin’s replacement was announced on 13 November.

The research-grant-awarding partnership involves the US, Ireland and Northern Ireland. Since 2009 it has provided €22.2 million to 14 research projects involving eight universities in Ireland, two in Northern Ireland and 17 US institutions.
