Fujitsu Ireland has announced that the Japanese company’s research wing would support a series of research projects in Ireland over the next three years.
The announcement was made by the company on 30 May at an “innovation gathering” held in Dublin, which attracted 250 delegates. No details of the projects to be supported were given as these were still under negotiation, the company said.
The company, which employs 350 people in Ireland, began a research investment programme in the country in 2010. The minister for jobs, enterprise and innovation Richard Bruton attended the event and stressed the need for commercialisation of research.
