Trinity College Dublin has opened an Office of Corporate Partnership and Knowledge Exchange as a way to promote easier connections between enterprise and academia.
Announced on 28 March, the move is part of the university’s wider plans to encourage entrepreneurship across its campus through a Strategy for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Business representative body Ibec worked in conjunction with the university to develop the office.
The office will help the university increase its engagement with small businesses, helping them to become more research active, said provost Patrick Prendergast.
