Medtronic is to build a manufacturing centre in Galway for making devices used in the treatment of peripheral-artery disease.
Announced on 14 December, the expansion is a €13-million investment. The company plans to hire 100 staff at the site, including quality and manufacturing engineers.
Medtronic already employs more than 3,000 people at two sites in Galway and 1,000 more at other locations in Ireland.
