Six Irish researchers win early-career funding from ERC

European Research Council awards have been granted to 291 researchers across Europe including six Starting Grants for Irish-based researchers.

The Irish awards, announced on 4 December, are worth a combined €9 million, the European Commission office said.

Three men and three women received awards, with two grants awarde at Trinity College Dublin and one each for University College Dublin, National University of Ireland Galway, the Dublin Institute of Technology and University College Cork.
