The Medical Council and the Irish Network of Medical Educators have announced a joint awards programme designed to increase medical research activity in Ireland.
The Medical Council-INMED Research in Medical Education awards would enhance the quality of medical education and training, said Medical Council chief executive Caroline Spillane at the launch of the award programme on 20 February at the University of Limerick.
The research the organisations are keen to support will help solve national and international health problems and also increase the knowledge base, the organisers said. Applications for the awards are open until 8 May.
