Cork institute to lead major EU study

Tyndall National Institute is to lead a €5.2-million EU-funded project to develop an “intelligent” electronic circuit that can respond to heating.

The Thermally Integrated Smart Photonics Systems project won support from the Horizon 2020 research budget, the institute announced on 1 March.

Kafil M Razeeb at Tyndall will coordinate the three-year project, which involves research partners in Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands and France.
