Irish funding body signs €2m deal with China

Science Foundation Ireland has agreed a research collaboration contract with the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

Signed off on 18 October, the deal will set up joint research projects agreed between scientists in the People’s Republic of China and Ireland.

Research areas to be considered include those of strategic importance to the partners, said the foreign affairs minister Charles Flanagan.
