The Amber Centre at Trinity College Dublin has won a Horizon 2020 research award to lead a €4.4-million project funded under the Future and Emerging Technologies—Open funding programme.
This is the first time that a group based in Ireland has coordinated a project under the FET programme, Trinity said in a statement released on 3 November.
It is particularly difficult to gain funding via FET as its success rate can be as low as 1.5 per cent said Plamen Stamenov, who will lead the project. The success rate in this call was 4 per cent.
