Belfast-based scientist receives distinction from China

Linda Farmer, a food researcher based at the Agri-Food and Biosciences Institute in Belfast, has been named a distinguished professor and international supervisor at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

The distinction, announced by the institute on 23 August, recognises Farmer’s research profile and her efforts to develop research collaborations between the Chinese Academy and the institute.

The two bodies have an existing memorandum of understanding in support of meat science research.
