EPA opens €8.2m research call

Ireland's Environmental Protection Agency has opened an €8.2-million call for research proposals in its 2017 round of funding.

As usual it will fund three primary research strands—water, climate and sustainability—the agency said in a statement on 5 May.

The programme funds areas where there gaps in our knowledge, said Alice Wemaere, research manager at the Agency. The call is competitive and the agency is expecting many high-quality submissions, she said.
