Universities and colleges reflect socio-economic makeup of their regions

Irish people who enter higher education are more likely to be from an affluent background, a study has revealed.

The report, released by Ireland’s Higher Education Authority on 21 October, delved into the geographical and socioeconomic makeup of those going into higher education, covering all publicly funded institutions except Trinity College Dublin.
