None of Ireland’s eight universities made it into the top 100 in the annual QS World University Rankings, although one remains close despite sliding down the pecking order.
Released on 18 June, the rankings place Trinity College Dublin at 108, down from last year’s showing at 104. The second closest, University College Dublin, reached 185, advancing eight places from last year’s 193.
The remaining universities were parked well away from the top 100, with National University of Ireland Galway (259, up from 260) and University College Cork (310, up from 338) moving up the rankings.
