Business leaders lament squandered potential, suggest better funding coordination
Ireland needs a national strategy on biopharmaceuticals to “fulfil the promise of innovation”, a major gathering of companies heard during a conference in Dublin.
Simon Coveney, Ireland’s minister for foreign affairs, discussed the country’s potential to become a “globally networked bio-innovation hub” when speaking on 4 March, the second day of the event. The international conference, which attracted about 400 delegates from Ireland, the UK and the United States, was organised by lobby group BioPharma Ambition.
