Cork and Tralee tech institutes will join to form higher education institution
Ireland’s government has given the go-ahead for the creation of a technological university through the merger of the institutes of technology in Cork and in Tralee.
Announced on 26 May, this is the second such university to be sanctioned by government under legislation passed in 2018. It is part of a major policy decision that will see all of the country’s institutes of technology merged to form a number of technological universities.
