EPA seeks solutions to Ireland’s environmental problems

Environmental Protection Agency earmarks €11.7 million to improve climate, farming and other policies

Ireland’s Environmental Protection Agency is putting up €11.7 million for research in support of work to solve environmental problems plaguing the nation’s countryside, including climate change and pollution.

The money will go to four “interconnected research areas” and eight specific topics, covering issues such as chemicals in the environment, climate change, land use and raw materials substitution.
