Collaboration aims to overhaul cancer treatment, with focus on long-term partnerships and patient satisfaction
The Irish Cancer Society has announced a partnership with Trinity College Dublin and St. James’s Hospital, aimed at developing an “outstanding” programme of cancer treatment and care for patients in Ireland.
The society will spend €4.5million during a five-year collaboration, it said, which is expected to create several programmes aimed at delivering a better model of cancer care for patients around the country. Most of the funding will go to Trinity St. James’s Cancer Institute.
