Irish government issues invites to NI students

Links forged to allow students from both sides of the border to study together

The Irish government will provide €2 million per annum to help higher education students in Northern Ireland access the opportunities formerly offered by the EU Erasmus programme.  

The announcement follows confirmation earlier in July of an agreement between Queen’s University Belfast, Ulster University, and the education departments in Belfast and Dublin. This will create 200 places on nursing courses in Northern Ireland for students from Ireland.
