A representative of the Italian National Agency for the Evaluation of the University and Research Systems has suggested how its work with a UK counterpart could benefit research assessment in the two countries.
Anvur announced a partnership with Research England to “support research assessment and the evaluation of knowledge exchange in English and Italian universities” on 7 May.
Senior representatives of the two agencies met in Rome in mid-April to discuss their countries’ approaches to research assessment, knowledge exchange (universities’ “third mission”, in Italian terminology) and socio-economic impact, Anvur vice-president Raffaella Rumiati, a social psychologist at the International School for Advanced Studies in Trieste, told Research Professional.
