Senator steps in after delays in filling three empty research seats at Italian institutes
Italy’s research ministry has promised to replace the presidents of three public research institutions by 31 January—a process that has been beset by severe delays.
The changes will be implemented after an amendment to the government decree that governs the country’s state of emergency, which was proposed by senator Bianca Laura Granato of the Five Star Movement. Granato made the announcement on social media platform Facebook on 12 November.
