Scientists across Italy rise up to oppose opinions voiced by president of National Order of Biologists
Biologists at universities across Italy have rallied in support of one of their spokesmen, who has come under fire after criticising the president of the National Order of Biologists, Vincenzo D’Anna, over comments that downplayed Covid-19.
Over the past month Giovanni Musci, the president of the biology colleges union CBUI, repeatedly and publicly criticised D’Anna for voicing opinions that were not “based on any scientific evidence” and risked “jeopardising the credibility of the whole community of biologists”. Musci first spoke out against D’Anna in an open letter in late March.
