Remote audience extends cautious welcome to controversial life science institute under construction in Milan
The Human Technopole, a new Italian institute for life sciences, appears to have overcome some of the scepticism and hostility that marked its announcement—with the project’s first open day pronounced a success.
The event involved the remote participation of around 200 academics, researchers and policymakers, including university and research minister Gaetano Manfredi. The attendants expressed curiosity and interest in the project’s development and the eventual creation of the institute.
