Innovation ecosystems scheme has €1.3 billion in EU pandemic recovery money up for grabs

Universities across Italy have submitted bids for hundreds of millions of euros as they vie to become hubs of local innovation.

The research ministry has not yet revealed the number of proposals it has received for its innovation ecosystems scheme, which will channel research funding from the EU’s pandemic recovery fund to groups of universities, research centres and companies.
