Evaluation agency Anvur defends results of VQR assessment that showcase “departments of excellence”

Italy’s research-evaluation agency, Anvur, has insisted that an error in one of the documents related to its vast assessment of the country’s research has not affected the results.

Anvur released the finalised results of its third evaluation of the country’s research on 20 July, presenting its assessment of work submitted by about 65,000 researchers from 98 universities and 14 other institutions.
