Research minister says change will make country “increasingly attractive and welcoming” to top talent

Italy’s research minister has said that she hopes a move to increase the salaries of those who win prestigious grants will make the country more attractive to world-leading researchers.

Researchers and academics who win competitive grants such as those from the EU’s Horizon Europe research programme could see major increases.
