Complex classification structure for academic careers to go from 370 areas to 192
The regulation of academic careers in Italy is to be reformed, amid ongoing concerns over parts of the system controlling progression.
The country’s complex system is presently based around 370 research areas, but these are being replaced with 192 new groups.
