UMCU, UU, TU/e en Philips bundelen hun krachten in medische beeldvorming, en wel in het Institute for Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging (IDII). De samenwerking zal in de toekomst worden uitgebreid met andere bedrijven. Het IDII maakt deel uit van het Innovative Medical Devices Initiative NL (ON294, zie onderstaande link).
