Incubators ‘provide real benefits for startups’

Study shows ways to improve the longevity of startup companies

Innovative startup companies survive longer and typically perform better when they are ‘nursed’ by an incubator facility, a study has shown.  

Chris Eveleens, a PhD candidate at Utrecht University, investigated the effectiveness of two Dutch incubators looking after 260 startups for his dissertation on “interfering with innovative entrepreneurship”. He carried out a statistical analysis of the two facilities and a more in-depth study of particular cases.
