Academy proposes national centre for medical expertise

  

Dutch knowledge hub would promote smoother drug development and improve collaboration, report says

The Netherlands needs a national coordinating centre of expertise that would promote cooperation on new medical treatments, according to a report.

The advisory report, published by the KNAW science academy, says that such a centre would improve how scientists work with each other, with industry and with regulators, so that discoveries can find their way to the patient more quickly.
