Uncertainty over Dutch centre’s future continues as management is told to wait for next government

The Wetsus research centre for sustainable water technology will not be able to count on secure annual structural funding for the foreseeable future, after a decision on its financing was delayed this month.

Economic affairs and climate minister Stef Blok informed parliament on 12 October that the next cabinet of the country’s government would make the decision. The Netherlands held national elections in March, but coalition talks have been sluggish and are still not finalised.
