Dutch government provides €150m for transport R&D

One-off boost for industry-academia consortia aims to counter pandemic effects on R&D spending

The Dutch government has awarded a one-off amount of €150 million to R&D projects in the aviation, automotive and maritime sectors, as part of a support programme for industry during the coronavirus pandemic.

The programme is intended to mitigate a decline in R&D investments due to the impact of Covid-19, said Stef Blok, minister for economic affairs and climate policy.
