Dutch cybersecurity professors call on universities to keep control of their own data

A group of cybersecurity professors has written an open letter to universities to ask them to be more careful when outsourcing vital computing infrastructure.

The 20 professors, who form the Academic Cyber Security Society, called on the boards of universities and student councils to stop using third parties for their IT needs where possible. They warned that once computing and data services had been passed on to technology companies, the process was difficult to reverse.
