Advisory council highlights role of regions in driving innovation

          

The Dutch government must cooperate better with local authorities to accelerate innovation, report says

There is a lack of coherence in the efforts of the Dutch national and regional authorities to encourage universities, research institutes and industry to work together on promoting innovation, a study has found.

The AWTI, a government advisory body on science and technology, argues that with better coordination between different levels of government, the Netherlands could accelerate its transition to a sustainable economy and improve the prosperity of its citizens.
