Dutch government plans position paper on Horizon successor

Document detailing efforts announced in response to report bemoaning EU-Dutch research policy gap

The Dutch government has defended itself in response to a report that said “too little thought is given in the Netherlands to how Dutch research policy can contribute to EU ambitions”.

On 19 June, the government responded to a report published in March by the AWTI, an advisory council for science, technology and innovation. That report, which was commissioned by science minister Robbert Dijkgraaf, said that progress was being hampered by a lack of alignment between the Netherlands and the EU.
