Advisory council calls for increased pluralism in higher education system, alongside clearer government policy

Dutch universities need more freedom to choose their own direction, alongside clearer oversight from ministers, according to a government advisory body.

The AWTI, an advisory council for science, technology and innovation, was responding to a call from science minister Robbert Dijkgraaf in early September to “join the conversation about the future of our system”.
