Report urges more collaboration to up Sweden’s EU winnings

Response to government sets out plan to up commitment to innovation and research infrastructure

Research!Sweden, a group that represents medical scientists and academics, has called for better conditions for collaborative research and innovation as part of a government consultation on research policy.

In a wide-ranging response, the group said that future policies should focus more on collaboration in medical research and innovation. This, it said, would help make Sweden eligible for more EU funding, reducing reliance on direct government spending.
