Norway’s academics say existing evaluation tools do not properly reward their work
Norwegian researchers have urged universities to stop adding further measurement criteria and indicators to job and project funding applications without better evaluation.
The statement, made by a group of academics in the Norwegian researchers’ journal, Forskerforum, warns that a planned revision of academic evaluation will still fail to capture the complexity of university study and research. New University Norway, a protest group comprised of researchers and university staff, is among those who signed the statement.
