Norwegians wary of climate change research

    

Survey of public attitudes to science reveals high levels of distrust in process and results

Only slightly more than half of all Norwegians feel they can trust climate researchers, with 13 per cent reporting they had little or very little confidence in the field, according to a survey.

Figures from the Norwegian Research Council’s latest population survey showed that, generally, Norwegians think favourably about research, with 83 per cent of respondents reporting high or very high confidence. However, not all subjects inspired equal levels of support.
