Lack of monetary backing weakens government promise to extend contracts and funding

Danish doctoral students and postdocs have strongly criticised the government for not doing more to protect them during an ongoing partial lockdown to stop the spread of coronavirus.

According to the Danish Masters Association (DM) growing numbers of researchers are becoming worried that projects delayed by the coronavirus crisis will not be completed due to lack of funding. These concerns are high, despite a deal between universities and the state, allowing for the extension of funding and employment contracts.
