Equal committees and critical look at competitive culture set up to draw in women
Aarhus University has finalised a draft gender equality action plan, which has been sent to the university’s staff for consultation purposes.
There are four main proposals in the plan, including gender-neutral vacancy notices and an equal distribution of men and women in employment assessment committees. The university also promised to take a critical look at its masculine competitive culture, and introduce contract clauses for senior staff insisting they focus on diversity, with a particular emphasis on gender.
