Sweden’s universities report growth in mental health issues and cheating among students
The Covid-19 pandemic caused a reduction in research funding and a surge in the stress levels of many Swedish academics, a report has found.
The report, published last week by Swedish higher education authority UKÄ, showed that the Wallenberg foundations and the Kempe Foundation “temporarily” reduced funding for new projects. Other foundations continued their support, but overall the number of newly-funded research projects in Sweden declined, the report said.
