Universities fear impact of immigration restrictions on innovation and ability to attract international talent

The presidents of Aalto University and Helsinki University have criticised the government’s immigration policy plans in speeches at the opening of the academic year.

Aalto’s Ilkka Niemelä warned that innovation and sustainable growth will be damaged if the planned immigration policies are implemented.
