Nordic ministers launch marine innovation programme

The Nordic Council of Ministers and pan-Nordic innovation agency Nordic Innovation have launched a marine innovation programme with a budget of 109m Norwegian kroner (€14m).

In a statement published on 20 October, the council said that the programme, which will fund 15 projects, includes participants from all the Nordic countries as well as Canada and Russia. The projects include developing new methods of deboning fish and agreeing on standards for Nordic caviar.
