The Nordic Environment Financing Corporation (NEFCO) and the Chinese Ministry of Environmental Protection’s Foreign Economic Cooperation Office have signed an environmental cooperation agreement together with the China Development Bank Corporation, it was announced on 7 November.
The Sino-Nordic Environmental Protection Cooperation Programme (SNEPCO) is intended to fund environmentally sustainable projects in China. According to a statement, SNEPCO financing will be used for projects that reduce greenhouse gases or ozone depleting substances, reduce toxic metals and promote energy efficiency.
