Sweden puts cash into biofuel
The Swedish Energy Agency along with several universities and companies including Vattenfall have pledged 540 million kroner (€60m) over 10 years for research into converting biomass, such as branches, bark and roots, into fuel for cars. The aim is to end Sweden’s dependence on oil-based fuel by 2030, Svenska Dagbladet reported on 11 July.
