The Nordic council of Ministers said on 4 July that the reforms of the EU’s agricultural policy needs an increased focus on R&D in order to preserve the region's competitiveness and lower the environmental impact of agricultural practices.
This is the first ever joint statement on agriculture the Nordic countries has sent to the EU commission.
