The Nordic countries must focus efforts on demand-driven innovation and tighten policies on education, according to recommendations in the Nordic Globalisation Scoreboard 2011 published on 7 July.
The report from the Nordic Council of Ministers shows that the high performance in Nordic countries in the areas of innovation and entrepreneurship fails to transform into financial gains because start-ups do not scale up their operations.
