Technology transfer boom in Denmark unevenly spread between institutions

Publicly funded research institutions in Denmark saw their income from technology transfer triple between 2007 and 2010, according to a report published by the government’s Council for Technology and Innovation on 19 July.

Income from commercialisation of research at the country’s 14 universities, university hospitals and public research institutes rose from 37.8 million kroner (€5m) in 2007 to 110.4m kroner in 2010, the report says.
